Dannys Top Mobile Apps – Our on site gadget/app man Danny de Hek enlightened us with some useful day to day APP’s such as ‘Scannable’,  you can scan those pesty business cards up in to your contacts quickly and efficiently.  OR ‘One Password’ which holds all your passwords and you wont ever have to type in a password.

Speaker One – Joy Chen, a new comer to Boaters, did her ice breaker.  Joy didnt talk about herself but told a story about Perfect People, it was a story of the perfect american girl that struggled to keeping up with being perfect that lead her to having eating disorders.  Brilliant told Joy.

Speaker Two – Brent Chatterton and the West Coast Passport.  Brent mentioned the way to get a West Coast passport is you either have to be born there or if you move there you have to live like forever there before getting a passport.  Brent then went on to tell us his journey of missing the early warning signs of Labour and sitting on a remote lake in Kanerie meant a mad dash by ambulance and air ambulance to Ch-ch with their first born Phoebe who nearly got her West Coast Passport.

Speaker Three – Alannah Vickery and Its not OK.  Alannah bought to home the truths about living in abusive relations, the statistics are horrific, Alannah wanted to get a message across to the audience to watch for the signs and speak up if you feel you know someone who needs help and take a stand.  Very effective speech.

Table top Master Alan Calder got up 5 lucky speakers – topic was Believe it or not.
Louise Green – Believing in Father Xmas
Natalie Perzylo – Believing in Easter Bunny
Caleb Verco – Did the man land on the moon
Dan McKirdy – Did Lance Armstrong cheat
Alana Bogart – Believing in  the Tooth Fairy

Toastie Award -Joy Chen
