Meeting 740 – Friday 13th June – with nothing superstitious about it as Deb McAlpine as Toastmaster led us through a fantastic Friday morning meeting with the theme of LUCK.
Garry Musson as Speaker 1 –  gave Boaters our own comical version of Grand Design taking us on the journey of The Happy Conversion of his fabulous home.
Alan Calder, Speaker 2 – entertained us with “Thursday Night Live” with a belly laughing  take on planning and preparing for a Humorous Toastmasters Speech, drinking rum, smoking and popping pills.
Greg Way  Speaker 2 – “Imagine It” lead us on a mystical tour of 6m Jurasic scaley beasts, to Planet Zoron, to Samuel in Xanadu on an Opium Fix who really was the tax man – “Imagine It” – a great challenge for us all.
Table Topic’s lead by Rachel Walton aligning cleverly to the Theme:
Sandra Smith – What is your lucky number and why?
Brent Ruru – Rabbits Paws and 4 Leaf Clovers – are they lucky – fact or fiction?
Amanda (guest)  - Convinced us that the number 13 is lucky and also the number 7!
Brett Snow – After enlightening us that his lucky piece of clothing was is underwear very quickly and cleverly diverted to the Grammarian’s word of the day – 0xymoron!
Geoffrey Robinson – told us that his socks were his good luck charm when playing rugby.
Thanks Boaters and guests for a great Friday the 13th meeting.

Claire Ruru
